Water treadmill rehabilitation · Girona
Water carries part of the load, so your horse can work before the leg could take it on land. Diagnosis, a plan built for that horse, and a team that competes at FEI level with the same horses it rehabilitates.
A short call, no commitment. If the treadmill isn’t right for your horse, we’ll say so.
The problem
The solution
Water carries part of the weight, so the horse works while the injury is still healing. Muscle and fitness return weeks before land work would be safe.
Warm water, steady footing, no rider, no concussion. Most horses settle into the treadmill within two or three sessions.
Diagnosis, plan, sessions, monitoring, veterinary re-assessment and full livery. You make one call instead of six.
How it works
We look at the diagnosis, the imaging and the horse. You get an honest opinion — including when the answer is no.
Depth, speed, duration and progression, adjusted session by session as the horse responds.
He goes home when the horse and the vet agree he is ready, not when the calendar says so.

Free, no commitment. Bring the diagnosis and we will tell you whether the water treadmill is the right tool for your horse, and what a realistic plan looks like. If it isn’t the right tool, we will tell you that too.
Or write to info@aheteam.com — we answer every enquiry ourselves.
FAQ
It depends on the length of the plan and whether your horse stays with us in full livery. You get a written figure after the free assessment, before anything is booked.
Most rehabilitation plans run between four and twelve weeks. We give you a realistic range at the assessment and review it at every veterinary re-assessment.
Not necessarily, but most do. Full livery during rehabilitation is what makes sure the plan is actually followed every single day.
Most horses accept the treadmill within two or three sessions. We introduce it slowly, and we do not force a horse that says no.
